At The Groomery we recognize that owners have pets for different reasons.

 

Not all owners want a “show dog” look. They may simply want a handsome family pet

that is clean and well groomed.

 

There are hundreds of styling options that will be appropriate to the animal

based on the lifestyle of the pet and the owner’s wishes.

 

Our role is to work with you in selecting the styling option

that will make both the owner and the pet happy.

Your appointment

At The Groomery, we provide individualised attention to your pet, and as such, only schedule a limited number of appointments

per day. We kindly request you arrive on-time for your appointment or telephone if you will be more than 15 minutes late. 

 

If you cannot make your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours notice.  Missed appointments represent

a considerable loss of income to a small business and advanced notice of cancellation allows us to fill your grooming slot.  

 

Drop off:

For the safety of your pet please ensure all pets are on a leash.

For the comfort of your pet, please ensure he/she has had the opportunity to go to toilet before your appointment.

 

 

Fleas

For the comfort of your pet and the wellbeing of all our customers, if we identify any fleas on your pet we will apply a flea shampoo when bathing. This is designed to kill flees immediately and aid in the prevention of their return for up to 7 days. The shampoo is not intended as a complete flea treatment and an appropriate application should be sought at the earliest opportunity. We will apply a £2 surcharge if the use of a flea shampoo is required.

 

 

Overly aggressive pets

It is not unusual for some pets to dislike certain elements of a groom, for example, having their nails clipped, and in such circumstances gentle techniques and safe, gentle restraints will be used to assist the groomer in these tasks. However, we will not groom aggressive pets. If your pet becomes aggressive to the point that grooming is not safe for the pet or groomer, your pet will be sent home and you will be charged the full price of the groom. 

 

 

Payment

Payment is due upon collection of your pet. We accept cash and cheques (accompanied by a valid cheque guarantee card).

We also have gift certificates available for purchase.
